20 Navigating Rensselaer & Beyond. First-year students begin a nearly weeklong orientation program designed to introduce them to Rensselaer, to the area, and to each other. The program includes adventure-based experiences, historical and cultural activities, and community service opportunities designed to help with the transition to Rensselaer.
