Now is the time...for this nation to take a clearly leading role in space achievement, which in many ways may hold the key to our future on Earth. - John F. Kennedy
Help Us Celebrate Two Birthdays!

Thank you for making a reservation to bring your class to the Rensselaer Space Museum!

As you know, the Museum has been set up to help celebrate the
175th Birthday of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

It also coincides with the
40th Birthday of NASA.

We are asking all groups visiting the Museum to help in our celebration by making two birthday cards: one for Rensselaer and one for NASA.

At the entrance to the Museum, a large display board will be set up.  Each group’s card will be displayed on this board.  This would be an excellent opportunity for a class picture as your students add their card to the collection, so remember to bring a camera.  In fact, encourage your students to bring cameras also. There will be plenty of other photo opportunities.

To make sure there is enough room to display all your cards we are asking you to follow these guidelines:
1.Please keep the size of each card to 8inches by 12 inches (about the size of a piece of lined paper).
 2. Be sure to have your school logo or name on the card.
 3. Your card does not have to be flat, it can include three dimensional parts, but be sure to keep it to our size requirements.

We hope you enjoy your visit to the Rensselaer Space Museum, and encourage your students to return with their families and friends.
