Laptop Specs 2012-2013 -- Lenovo ThinkPad T430
We're pleased to announce that the 2012-2013 Mobile Computing Package, which includes a Lenovo T430 laptop computer, will be available at a purchase price of $1,599 to those incoming freshman and transfer students who will be coming to Rensselaer for the Spring 2013 semester. And if all this isn't enough, because all Rensselaer students are required to have laptops and this is an academic program, no 8% sales tax is applied to the cost of the package, which means you're saving another $128! Quite literally, you're all set from the minute you take your new laptop out of the box. We think that once you consider everything you get along with the laptop, you'll agree that this package is an excellent value! Included SoftwareThe following software comes pre-installed on all 2012-2013 Mobile Computing laptops. Educational licenses are included, but not installation CDs.

Ordering informationStudents who will be coming to Rensselaer for the Spring 2013 semester and who wish to purchase a 2012-2013 Mobile Computing package may do so by printing out and completing a laptop order form. If you would like to order a laptop package, please do so by the end of December 2012 so we can have the proper number of laptops ready for distribution in mid-January. The laptop packages will be distributed via the VCC Help Desk after January 15; students can stop by during regular Help Desk business hours to pick them up. Bringing your own laptop?If you plan to bring your own laptop to campus, please keep in mind that your laptop is subject to minimum or comparable system specifications. You may also want to check with your curriculum advisor for any special software requirements you may have for your specific coursework. |
