Rensselaer established the first endowed athletic coaching position, last year for the women’s soccer team, from an anonymous gift, signifying that the athletic programs at Rensselaer are an integral part of the development of our young men and women.

The fund was established in recognition of Rensselaer's athletic programs being an integral part of the development of young men and women at Rensselaer. The gift will support the effort to provide students with the best in physical fitness and recreational programs, in particular by supporting the Rensselaer women's soccer program.

"This gift has enabled the women's soccer program and the entire athletic department to significantly raise the bar," said Director of Athletics Jim Knowlton. "It enhances the student-athlete experience tremendously."
