Gift Endows Women's Soccer Coach Position

Rensselaer established the first endowed athletic coaching position for the women’s soccer team from an anonymous gift, signifying that the athletic programs at Rensselaer are an integral part of the development of our young men and women.

The gift supports the effort to provide students with the best in physical fitness and recreational programs, in particular by supporting the Rensselaer women's soccer program.

"This gift has enabled the women's soccer program and the entire athletic department to significantly raise the bar," said Director of Athletics Jim Knowlton. "It enhances the student-athlete experience tremendously."

A gift of $1.5 million will endow an athletics coaching position that both funds and pays tribute to an outstanding teacher-coach.  A gift of $1.5 million also will endow a Rensselaer athletic team to ensure future development of leadership in that sport. Please consider taking this opportunity to make a vital gift to the endowment and witness the tremendous impact of your generosity on this generation of student athletes and those yet to come.

For more information about gifts to Rensselaer Athletics, please email Guy Rozier, Chief Development Officer, or call 518-276-2570.
