Marathon Oil Corporation recognizes the talent at Rensselaer, and realizes that investing in our students increases the pool of prospective employees to choose from. Two years ago, the company established an endowed scholarship for Rensselaer students with the focus on women and underrepresented minorities in select programs (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and Chemical Engineering, and Geology). The scholarship was awarded to the following students: Sunny Chiang '12, Chemical Engineering, and Amanda George '12, Civil Engineering.
A successful internship program was also established for Rensselaer students to gain valuable work experience at Marathon Oil Corporation.
