Our Annual Celebration of Support

The 2012 Celebration of Support brought together friends and alumni who generously support scholarships, fellowships, faculty and departmental efforts, to meet the many recipients who benefit from this critical support. The event, held in Evelyn's Cafe at EMPAC (Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center) in April, featured student exhibits describing the exciting ideas that motivate students, faculty, and donors to ask, "Why not change the world?" The Celebration of Support honors the vision of donors and the tremendous impact their gifts have on faculty and students at Rensselaer.

Approximately 95 percent of our undergraduate students receive some form of financial aid, and scholarship support is often a key component of that aid. There are over 300 endowed scholarships and over 40 endowed fellowships; while the Patroon Scholars Program supports students through the Rensselaer Annual Fund. Support for faculty strengthens Rensselaer at its core, and in turn, attracts world-class students.
