Happy New Year from the Career Development Center! We are hard at work preparing for our annual spring career fair, which will be held this year on Tuesday, January 29th from 12 - 5 p.m. in the Armory. Students may visit our website in January to view a list of participating employers. Students who are planning on attending the career fair and have not started a resume should schedule an appointment to meet with a Career Counselor as soon as they return from winter break.
Whether your student plans to go out on co-op in the near future or obtain a summer internship it’s essential that he/she stops in at the CDC to find out the steps they need to take now. Perhaps most essential to your student’s professional development at Rensselaer is registration in RedHawk JobLink, the CDC’s premier online career management tool. RedHawk JobLink currently houses more than 4000 employers in our database, including more than 150 companies who visited Rensselaer in the fall to conduct on-campus interviews. We encourage students who have activated their accounts to go into RedHawk JobLink now to view employers accepting resumes for spring on-campus interviews. Through regular use of RedHawk JobLink, your student will increase his/her chances of securing a summer internship, co-op, or full-time employment offer!
