Rensselaer Connection

The Rensselaer Alumni Network

Rensselaer Alumni NetworkYour student may have some time before he/she becomes an alumnus/ae, but the Rensselaer Alumni Association is already working to provide them with opportunities to tap into the alumni network for personal and professional advancement.

The Rensselaer alumni network consists of close to 90,000 alumni worldwide who work in an amazing variety of fields. The network is powerful, extremely active, and a valuable resource for students as well as for alumni, and there are many ways to connect with alumni while on campus.

  • The Red & White Student Organization allows students to work closely with some of our most prestigious alumni, and sharpen their leadership and communication skills as well. (Visit www.alumni.rpi.edu/services/redandwhite for details.)
  • The Reunion Student Host program allows students to meet hundreds of alumni from all over the world at Reunion weekend in June.
  • Students are always welcome to attend Alumni Chapter Events in their own hometown. (Visit www.alumni.rpi.edu/events for a list of upcoming alumni chapter events.)
  • The Career Development Center offers the Pathways program, which matches students with alumni for career mentoring opportunities.
  • When your student first becomes an alumnus/ae, there are programs especially created for them through the Young Alumni Council, a group of young alumni dedicated to creating programs and services of particular interest to graduates 10 years out and less.

Visit www.alumni.rpi.edu/involved/students or contact the alumni office at alumni@rpi.edu or (518) 276-6205 for more information on student/alumni programs.

Welcome to Our Future Alumni!
Your current student is our future alumnus/a, and the Alumni Relations Office provides programs for them as well as for our graduates. We help create a welcoming environment when they arrive, support them as they make choices about their future path by connecting them with alumni who can guide them, and provide assistance as they graduate and begin new lives and new careers.

We are certainly proud to serve them, and look forward to welcoming them to the prestigious ranks of Rensselaer Alumni.

Jeffrey M. Schanz
Director of Alumni Relations
