Rensselaer Connection

The Rensselaer Alumni Network

Rensselaer Alumni NetworkYour student may have some time before he/she becomes an alumnus/ae, but the Rensselaer Alumni Association is already working to provide them with opportunities to tap into the alumni network for personal and professional advancement.

The Rensselaer alumni network consists of close to 90,000 alumni worldwide who work in an amazing variety of fields. The network is powerful, extremely active, and a valuable resource for students as well as for alumni.

There are many ways to connect with alumni while on campus. The Red & White Student Organization allows students to work closely with some of our most prestigious alumni, and sharpen their leadership and communication skills as well. (Visit www.alumni.rpi.edu/services/redandwhite for details.) The Reunion Student Host program allows students to meet hundreds of alumni from all over the world at Reunion weekend in June. RAA programs such as the Back-to-Campus speaker series bring alumni back to campus to share their experiences and network with current students. Students are always welcome to attend alumni events in their own hometown. (Visit www.alumni.rpi.edu/events for a list of upcoming alumni chapter events.) And be sure to talk to the Career Development Center about the Pathways program, which matches students with alumni for career mentoring opportunities.

Contact the alumni office at alumni@rpi.edu or (518) 276-6205 for more information.

E-mail for Life
Juniors, seniors, and graduate students may sign up for an alumni E-mail for Life account while they are still on campus. The E-mail for Life "@alum.rpi.edu" address stays with you permanently, even after graduation. The E-mail for Life address may be used on resumes, job search correspondence, or given out to any contacts you wish to stay connected with after leaving Rensselaer. Sign-up for E-mail for Life through @RPInet at https://arpinet.rpi.edu. Students must use their RIN number.

Legacy Program
If you are related to a student or an alumnus, you are a Legacy. Programs and benefits to recognize these special Rensselaer connections are planned each year. Visit www.alumni.rpi.edu/legacy, or contact the alumni office at alumni@rpi.edu or (518) 276-6205 for more information.
