When you call to make reservations, please tell them the blocked rooms are under “RPI Family Weekend” or mention the group code listed. For easiest parking all weekend, we recommend the North Lot (off of Peoples Avenue near the Heffner Alumni House). Generally, all parking lots will be open throughout Family Weekend with the exception of the College Avenue parking garage and 15th Street parking meters on Friday. Handicapped spaces (unless you possess a permit), fire lanes, and hydrants are restricted as well.
On Friday, we encourage you to use the North Lot.
On Saturday, families with Ramsey Lewis Trio tickets should use the College Avenue parking garage or the lot behind Academy Hall, while those attending the hockey game should use the North Lot.
Handicapped Parking
Handicapped parking is available throughout the weekend in all designated spots on campus – please be sure to display your permit.
Shuttles will be available on Friday and Saturday during the following times:
Friday, October 17
7 a.m. – 10 p.m.: Shuttles will run between the North Lot, Houston Field House, Academy Hall and the parking garage on College Avenue (near EMPAC).
Saturday, October 18
7:30 a.m. – 10 p.m.: Shuttles will run between the North Lot, Academy Hall, parking garage on College Avenue (near EMPAC) and the Rensselaer Union.
6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.: Puckman Express shuttles will be running from the North Lot to the Houston Field House and back.
