SUMMER LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP
JUNE 17-19, 2008
Below is a short course being offered on the Troy NY campus this summer June 17-19, 2008. The audience is working professionals who are at a supervisory or early management level within their organization or are an individual contributor and are looking to expand their leadership capabilities. Foundations of Leadership (FOL)® is a three-day leadership development workshop designed to assist the development of emerging leaders and managers by increasing their personal awareness, interpersonal effectiveness, and managerial abilities. FOL is offered by Rensselaer at Hartford under specific license from The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL®). Specifically, FOL examines the dynamics of leadership as they relate to influence, conflict management and goal setting. To achieve the greatest possible results, a number of different methods are employed. These include assessment questionnaires, well researched leadership models, experiential activities, "real-life" case studies, and one-to-one consultations. AN EVENING WITH MARK LITTLE ’82, SR VP AND DIRECTOR OF GE GLOBAL RESEARCH
Rensselaer alumni were invited to hear from Mark Little, PhD ’82, Senior VP and Director of GE Global Research, who shared his insights on the future of sustainable energy, advances in healthcare, and what General Electric is doing today to stay at the forefront of research and technology development and innovation on Thursday, March 6. General Electric is a Corporate Partner of EWP.

This year we have one alumnus that is being honored. Vikash Agrawal is a member of the class of 1998 with an M.S. in Management and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering.
