Online access to the Student Information
System (SIS) allows admitted students to register for classes,
check registration status, grades, and change personal contact
information on the Web. Instructions are available online
at the Web site, sis.rpi.edu.
Updating Student Contact Information
Students may update their personal contact information (home
address, e-mail address, phone and fax numbers). Many communications
(i.e., class cancellation) from our office will occur through
e-mail, phone or fax, so it is essential we have your accurate
contact information. Once you update this in SIS, please
alert the Student Services Administrator (SSA) in e-mail
so that we can do any necessary internal follow-up if needed.
Registration Verification
Students can verify their registration online by checking
Rensselaer's Student Information System (SIS). Prior to
the start of the semester a Course Information memo will
be e-mailed to students for each course in which they are
registered. This e-mail includes valuable information about
the course that should be reviewed to ensure students are
prepared for the semester.
Student E-Mail Addresses
Students enrolled in courses via distance learning must
use their "@rpi.edu" e-mail addresses. Students
may forward this account to another address of their choosing
if they wish. All Rensselaer communications will now be
sent to the "@rpi.edu" address.
