Semester Registration
Information
This information is designed
to provide you with information on the courses available
each semester and to assist you in course selection and
registration. Prior to each term, registration information
is e-mailed directly to all active matriculated students.
This material will provide detailed instructions regarding
how to register for your course(s). All matriculated students
register online using Rensselaer's Student Information System
(SIS), http://sis.rpi.edu.

Spring 2008 semester Online textbook ordering for Distance Learning Students began on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 via the Rensselaer Bookstore at http://bookstore.rpi.edu.
Please note that orders by faculty are subject to change.
*Ordering your books from different vendors (and not the Rensselaer Bookstore) should be done with caution.

Students
Upon admission to Rensselaer, you will be notified
to register online at http://sis.rpi.edu/.
Students at corporate sites should also follow their local
site procedures for applying and registering. You will be
officially registered for your courses after you are admitted
to Rensselaer.
Continuing Students
Register online at http://sis.rpi.edu.

Troy Campus Students (working at
a Rensselaer Distance Site)
If you are a part-time Rensselaer Troy campus student now
working at an existing Rensselaer distance site, you may
enroll in distance courses with site approval if the course
is appropriate for your degree program (please check with
your Troy Campus academic adviser). To register, please
contact the EWP-Troy office at (518) 276-7787.
SIS Access
Online access to the Student Information System (SIS) allows
admitted students to register for classes, check registration
status, grades, and change personal contact information
on the Web. Instructions are available online.
Registration Verification
Students can verify their registration online by checking
Rensselaer's Student Information System (SIS). We also provide
each corporate site with a list of registered students before
classes start. Prior to the start of the semester a Course
Information memo will be e-mailed to students for each course
in which they are registered. This e-mail includes valuable
information about the course that should be reviewed to
ensure students are prepared for the semester.

description pages on this Web site for content, prerequisites,
and any other special requirements. Refer to the "Who
Should Enroll" section of each course description to
find out how the course fits into your Plan of Study. If
you have questions regarding the best course choice for
