Fundamentals of E-Business

Description
This course is designed as a survey overview of E-business from newly created to large established businesses. It will use business analysis techniques to develop a critical analysis of E-business models. Examination of business models that predict E-business success with examples of companies that compete in each of the technology spaces surveyed, as well as examples of mature companies developing E-business capabilities. Other topics covered in the course are: strategies of E-business; business models; Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP); Application Service Providers (ASP); Customer Resource Management (CRM); B2B; B2C; ISP; auctions and exchanges; data mining; ethics; and security concerns. Prerequisites
Students should be familiar with the basic principles of business at the level of a first year graduate student including general knowledge in finance, marketing, and management, and have some familiarity with the technologies used in E-business.
