Description
The course provides a strategic-level perspective on the integration of sustainable business development, enterprise thinking, and innovation management and their contributions for creating sustainable competitive advantages and exceeding the needs and expectations of the global business environment. Sustainable business development involves broad strategic management constructs that focus on how an enterprise improves the social, economic, environmental, technological, and business impacts and consequences of its technologies, products, processes and operations. Sustainable business development constructs include corporate social responsibility, green marketing, value creation, technological innovation, product development, and life cycle thinking. Sustainable business development involves creativity, knowledge, and learning for solving existing problems and managing new challenges. The course focuses on global corporations that are using sustainable business development paradigm as an integrating construct for achieving success in the 21st century. Sustainable business development means leading change, dealing with the environmental consequences of products, processes, and operations from cradle to grave, and improving every facet of the enterprise.
