Decision Sciences and Engineering Systems

The Department of Decision Sciences and Engineering Systems (DSES) is an interdisciplinary department in the School of Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The department of DSES conducts research that leads to a better understanding of how people can use information, modeling and technology to improve decision making. DSES curricula include programs in industrial and management engineering, manufacturing systems engineering, information systems and operations research and statistics. Degrees are granted at bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels.
