Description
This course covers deterministic and stochastic models for logistics
management as well as planning and control of manufacturing systems.
Special emphasis will be placed on an analysis of inventory control
models, logistics management models, and queuing models as well
as the application of these models to design and planning problems
in manufacturing and service systems. An overview of JIT philosophy
is also covered.
Prerequisites
Operations Research Methods I or Mathematical Models of Operations
Research, and Introduction to Applied Statistics or equivalent
or permission of instructor.
