Description
E-business uses of the Internet and other new information technologies to bring about extended enterprises on a global scale. The course examines the underlying models, methods, and the techniques of E-business systems from this enterprise perspective. Web technologies, information systems engineering, and contemporary topics such as agents and scalable enterprises are covered. Laboratory assignments and term projects are required.
Prerequisites
Knowledge about the basic concept and application of Information
Systems, such as prior course work or professional experience
in the field. Also required is proficiency with end-user level
PC computing, such as the ability to learn MS Access and basic
Web authoring by self-efficacy.

Computing
E-mail and World Wide Web access required for course communications, use of Blackboard, and printing of course notes/materials. Also required are recent editions of MS Access, Word, Power point, and optionally a dedicated Web authoring package. A personal computer that is sufficient for running all of the above software and applications is needed. E-mail access is required for course communications.
