Description
Topics include analysis of multiprogramming systems, virtual memory, computer system performance, and queuing theory. The course also discusses tools for synchronization of parallel programs and algorithms for mutual exclusion.

The project requires access to a workstation or PC (Pentium 486 or higher) with Visual C++, Visual Basic, or any other programming language compiler. E-mail and World Wide Web access required for course communications and printing of course notes. Maple recommended.
