Invitations: Invitations for Rensselaer's 202nd Commencement ceremony and picnic held on Saturday, May 17, 2008 will be sent out in April from the Outreach Programs Office, and will include a form for ordering tickets. Commencement and picnic tickets will be mailed to your home by the Outreach programs Office in early May.
Important: Please order your tickets through the Outreach Programs office – Education for Working Professionals, using the response card in the invitation packet. Do not use the online form on the main Rensselaer commencement website. If you do not have a form and need an invitation packet, please contact Ronnie Rowe at (518) 276-2347.
Requests for Additional Tickets: Additional tickets may be requested. The number of graduates not using their allotment of seven tickets determines the number of extra additional tickets available. If severe weather arises, these extra tickets will be color-coded for video site viewing of the ceremony. No additional indoor tickets to the Field House will be available.
Special Guest Requests: Requests for services for guests with special requirements (http://www.rpi.edu/academics/commencement/guest_reqs.html) should be made online by April 18.
Celebration Picnic: The Celebration Picnic (http://www.rpi.edu/academics/commencement/picnic.html) after the ceremony is free, but tickets are required. Picnic tickets are separate from tickets to the ceremony, but they are also limited to seven guest tickets (unless you have made a special request - see above).
August and December graduates please note: If you have already made direct arrangements with the Registrar's Office to receive tickets, please call our office as soon as possible.
NOTE: The EWP Celebration Activities and Reception does not require tickets.
