Information Sheet
The Office of Undergraduate Education is offering a limited number of Summer Undergraduate Research projects to provide funding for Rensselaer undergraduates who are conducting research with a faculty advisor during the summer months. This program offers students the opportunity to become immersed in a research topic full-time for a ten-week period and receive a stipend of $3,000.

The Summer Undergraduate Research Program is open to all Rensselaer undergraduates who are planning to conduct research on campus with a faculty advisor. Students may not be on academic probation and must be planning to enroll at Rensselaer in the fall (this includes students who plan to study abroad). Graduating seniors and incoming first year students are not eligible. Students from all fields may apply. Special funds are available for students in science and engineering, and for women and minority candidates. If you have questions about eligibility, please contact the Office of Undergraduate Education.

The stipend is intended to cover ten weeks of full-time research between May 22, 2006 and July 28, 2006 (exact dates to be arranged in consultation with the faculty advisor).
