Are
you a Catholic Christian, or interested in Catholicism? Newman Fellowship
is a student group within the Catholic community at Rensselaer. We gather
together in fellowship and friendship to grow in our faith - both intellectually
and spiritually - and experience the joy of the presence of God in our
lives. We meet every Sunday evening at 6:00 at the Chapel
and Cultural Center (C+CC), where we share a home-cooked meal and good conversation. We also hold meetings on Thursday nights at 6:30, where we discuss everything from scripture and the Word to life in general, play
games, pray, and study our faith and our Church. We discuss and share our
faith as Christians, grow in our relationship with God, and deal with issues
relating to the world we live in. We also hold a retreat
in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains, a fall hayride and bonfire, Christmas
carolling, and lots more.
True to scripture, God has given us hope and a future in his son, Jesus Christ. He calls us to celebrate the Heaven he has prepared for us, to encourage and support one another in Christian fellowship and friendship, and to help others who are struggling in life.
Students from all backgrounds are invited to participate! Come
and share in our faith, hope, and love. See the bulletin board on
the top floor of the Union, to find out what's happening with Newman Fellowship
and the parish of Christ
Sun of Justice. Or contact one of our officers
for more information.
