Division 25 Telecommunications Standards
The Construction Specification Institute Manual of Practice defines the standard format for organizing construction project specifications. In the past, telecommunications systems were treated as a minor subset of electrical specifications. However, the Institute now recognizes the importance of placing telecommunications in its own division within the CSI format. The process is evolving; in various drafts of the revised format, telecommunication specifications have appeared as Division 17, Division 25, and Division 27. DotCIO has adopted Division 25 as its official format pending a final version of the revised CSI format.
