Distinguished Graduate Fellowships in Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute invites applications for Distinguished Departmental Research Fellowships. These fellowships will be awarded to outstanding candidates who show particular promise for graduate research. The awards are being made as part of a large research initiative program taking place at RPI. Applicants should have a B.S. or M.S. in chemistry, biochemistry, or another closely related field. Preference will be given to candidates with backgrounds and interests that are aligned with the strengths and needs in particular areas of the department. Extremely competitive enhanced stipends will be offered for both academic year and summer terms.

The Dr. Andrew N. Dasheff ‘89 Memorial Fellowship Award
This award was established in memory of Andrew Dasheff, son of Stanley and Judith, to be awarded to students at the graduate level working towards a Ph.D. in RPI’s Chemistry Department. Andrew was a student of Professor James A. Moore during the 1980’s.

The Dr. Johanna Maas Chemistry Teaching Assistant Award
First awarded in 2000, the award is presented annually to one or more graduate students for outstanding service in the teaching program of the Chemistry Department. It was established by Sonja Krause ‘54 and others in memory of Dr. Johanna Zelie Maas, chemist, physician, Holocaust survivor, and humanitarian. Maas lived in Queens, N.Y., until her death in 1979 at the age of 93.
