I'm currently working on several Semantic Web and e-Science related projects in the Tetherless World Constellation group.

This summer, I’m working with Professor McGuinness on a project called SESDI, which stands for Semantically Enabled Scientific Data Integration. The goal of this project is to help scientists integrate data better so we can solve big problems like global warming. This particular effort integrates information about volcanoes and the atmosphere.

I also work with Professor James Hendler, on another project called “RPI Map” which is intended to provide an online map for the RPI community. It meshes up RPI building and parking lots information with Google Map with a user-friendly interface. Powered by semantic wiki, it will also allow RPI students and faculty to add and search location related information, such as bus, events, courses and food services, on the map. A prototype of RPI Map is hosted at http://map.rpi.edu.

I was invited to apply to the Accelerated B.S./Ph.D. Program in the first semester of my second year here at RPI. In this program, I was advised by the deans about the plans of my future studies and research. It turns out to be a very useful and joyful experience: the research projects I participated in are interesting, the professors and researchers I met are very knowledgeable and helpful.

Outside of research, I am interested in playing table tennis, badminton, and fencing. And RPI has clubs for all of these sports, so I can go to practice and play in my free time.
