| The Rensselaer Community
The Department of Public Safety provides 24 hour per day, 365 day per year officer patrol and response to life-safety incidents, coordinates internal and external resources to assist the management of critical incidents, and conducts awareness programs to proactively assist its community members in the maintenance of personal safety.
The department includes full-time officers, sergeants, Lieutenants, an Investigator, administrators, part-time officers, and a Public Safety Specialist Unit.
