How to Apply
Students interested in participating in this program must complete an application. Completed applications and supporting materials must be received by February 16, 2010. Please note: if you do not receive confirmation of receipt of the application, please e-mail Kristen Bryk.
The completed application includes the following items and should be submitted to the Staff REU Coordinator. See the address given below:
- An up-to-date official transcript.
- Two faculty recommendations, stressing possible research potential.
- A brief essay (less than one page) by the applicant stating career goals and how this program will fit into these plans. Mention any relevant experience that you have, for examples, honors, awards, recognition, work experience in labs (instructional or research), electronics, computer interfacing, design, construction, computer programming and languages, etc.
- Completion of the online application form, including first and second choice of subfields of physics (not the specific project).
