Electrical Engineering
I am a Ph.D. Student in the Department of Electrical, Computer and Systems Engineering. I am currently working with Professor Ishwara B. Bhat as my primary advisor and Professor Toh-Ming Lu of the Department of Physics, Applied Physics and Astronomy.
Our work primarily involves two projects. The first is simulation, design, and fabrication of a novel solid-state neutron detector. This work is being conducted also in conjunction with Professor James Lu and Professor Yaron Danon of the Electrical, Computer and Systems Engineering and Mechanical, Aerospace and Nuclear Engineering Departments, respectively.
The second project that I am involved with is focused on the growth of CdTe monocrystal layers on inexpensive glass substrates using CaF2 nanocrystalline buffer layers. This work intends to grow low-defect films that can be used for further crystal growth.
