I am currently working with Prof. Xi-Cheng Zhang in the department of Physics, Applied Physics and Astronomy, in the center for terahertz research. Our group concentrates on the research of generation and detection of pulsed terahertz waves as well as terahertz spectroscopy.

My work is concentrated on the broadband terahertz wave emission and detection with laser induced plasma in gases. I systematically study the generation and detection processes with various gases. Over 30 gases were tested with a gas cell. Without phonon absorption, we have demonstrated a all gas-based broadband terahertz spectrometer covering from 0.3 THz to 10 THz.
