I am currently working with Prof. Shivkumar Kalyanaraman in the ECSE department on free-space optical mobile ad-hoc networks. I am also working with Prof. Mona Hella, also in ECSE, to build a prototype for one of these systems.

Once the prototype is completed, my research will be to implement algorithms for efficient data transmission through such a system. My research will have to overcome many of the problems associated with disruption-tolerant and limited-connectivity nodes.

I will also examine the use of terahertz emitters for the project once a working prototype is completed with optical-wavelength or near-infrared VCSELs.
