John Cummings
Research Assistant Professor
Education:
Ph.D. in Physics, Rice University (1995)
M.A. in Physics, University of Massachusetts (1989)
B.A. in Physics, Johns Hopkins University (1986)
Career Highlights:
Post-Doctoral Research Associate: Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (1997-2001)
Post-Doctoral Research Associate: University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth (1995-1997)
Research Interests:
Cummings is a member of the CLEO collaboration, a group of high-energy physicists studying fundamental interactions using a electron-positron collider. He is developing a new detector simulation tool for this experiment that will allow study of the detectors response at the new energies at which the accelerator runs.
