32% of students taking course in 4 Rensselaer offerings were majoring
in RPI's interdisciplinary IT program

Graphic Arts Students:
19% of students taking course in 4 Rensselaer offerings were majoring
in RPI's Electronic Media, Arts, and Communication program

Computer Science and other Science
Students:
20% of students taking course in 4 Rensselaer offerings were computer
science majors; 7% were studying another science other than physics

Engineering and Physics Students:
14% of students taking course in 4 Rensselaer offerings were engineering
or physics majors

Professional-Track Students:
8% of students taking course in 4 Rensselaer offerings were majoring
in Architecture or Management

Pre-service and In-service K-12
educators:
One goal of the current NSF-funded project is to expose K-12 teachers
to the material and encourage schools educating future teachers to offer
the course

The pilot offerings have proven to be popular to students from a wide
range of backgrounds, with apparently little or no correlation between
background and performance/satisfaction from the course
