This is a demonstration of the applet used in the Gauss's Law unit. The program displays a rectangular area that contains some hidden charges. The situation looks like this:
The program draws a field arrow at the mouse pointer's position, just like in the examples. All the mouse-button commands are enabled, including many that you have not seen before and many that are not particularly useful here. You can look at the complete list of mouse-button commands (it opens in another browser window) to see what else you can do.
