The Vice President for Enrollment and Dean, Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions reports to the President and serves as an Officer of Rensselaer. Working closely and inclusively with the President, the Executive Cabinet, the enrollment staff, and the RPI community including current students, parents and alumni, the Vice President develops both long-term and immediate strategies and programs to enhance the Institute’s enrollment function.

Paul Marthers, who has more than 25 years of experience in higher and secondary education and administration, was most recentlythe dean of admission at Reed College in Portland, Ore. Marthers is widely recognized for his work with the admissions process as well as his scholarly publications. In 2007, The Chronicle of Higher Education selected him as one of “10 admission deans who are shaping their field.”
