Come Home to Rensselaer in the Fall!

Return to campus for Homecoming ’08, October 17-19, and plan for Reunion ’09 next October 2-4

Fall is perhaps the most beautiful time of year in upstate New York, and it’s a great time to reconnect with Rensselaer. Come home to Rensselaer for Homecoming 2008, Oct. 17-19, and enjoy the area at its best. Fall will be in the air, classes will be in session, and there will be lots of opportunities to participate in campus life and enjoy time with your friends.

Everyone is welcome at Homecoming, but some special affinity groups are returning to celebrate milestones. The Class of 2003 will celebrate its 5th Reunion (contact Kathy Kinsey at kinsek@rpi.edu for information); The Poly will celebrate 125 years; MusicFest 2008 will welcome back former Rensselaer musicians; and several Greek organizations will hold special events.

In addition to programs for these special interest groups, Homecoming ’08 will include a tailgate picnic, a football game, the newly opened Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center, and a men’s hockey game. Make plans now to join the fun. For more information, visit the Web site at www.alumni.rpi.edu/homecoming, or contact Peter Pedone at pedonp@rpi.edu or (518) 276-6061.

Reunion 2009 Moves to Fall
For classes ending in 4 or 9, mark your calendars now for your milestone Reunion the weekend of Oct. 2-4, 2009. Experience a vibrant, energetic Rensselaer while enjoying special Reunion activities with your classmates.

The fall of 2009 will be especially exciting, with the opening of the new East Campus Athletic Village, including a beautiful new stadium for football. Also, tour the Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center. In addition, two new hotels are being built close to campus that will accommodate Reunion and Homecoming guests.

Special interest groups also will return to campus in 2009, as they are this year. “The more people who return, the more fun the weekendis, so this combination of Reunion, traditional Homecoming activities, and affinity gatherings is a guaranteed great time you won’t want to miss—for alumni of all ages!” says Jeff Schanz, assistant vice president for alumni relations.

Contact Reunion Director Kathy Kinsey at kinsek@rpi.edu if you want to get involved in helping to plan your class Reunion.
