Homecoming 2007 Offers Chance To Reconnect
Fall is a beautiful time of year in upstate New York, and the campus is humming with activity. Make plans to come back for Homecoming 2007, Oct. 19-21, and take advantage of this great opportunity to connect with friends and enjoy “dear old RPI.”
Alumni will have the chance to see firsthand what’s new since they were last here (even 2007 graduates will notice a few changes!), and spend some time with current students who are preparing to change the world. A special welcome is extended to young alumni, who can enjoy campus activities and a chance to visit friends who are still in Troy.
Homecoming festivities will include a tailgate party prior to the Rensselaer vs. Merchant Marine football game on Saturday afternoon, followed by a men’s hockey game against Sacred Heart at 7 p.m. in the Houston Field House. Other athletic events that weekend include women’s ice hockey games on both Friday and Saturday, men’s soccer, and men’s and women’s cross country.
A dinner for Legacy students and their families will be held at the Heffner Alumni House on Saturday afternoon. President Jackson will be on hand to recognize these special families with generational Rensselaer connections.
Several Greek organizations are also planning get-togethers, including Pi Beta Phi, Phi Mu Delta, and Theta Xi. All Greeks are invited to attend the Greek ChowderFest, sponsored by the RAA, at 6 p.m. in the Heffner Alumni House.
