Environmental Problems

A variety of problems face our environment. These global challanges need to be examined from a variety of different ways.

Environmental Problems at Rensselaer

Many departments at Rensselaer perform research on environmental issues, including the Mathematical Sciences department.

Current Projects

  • Radar imaging, which is very useful in discovering environmental problems and in monitoring the earth.
  • Multiphase flows, which are flows in which more than one material moves. Applications include sedimentation, boiling filtration and separation.
