Define Your Task
When you first begin to develop your presentation, make certain you can
clearly identify what you are attempting to accomplish and for whom. It
is a good idea to think about your task in these ways:
- Identify
the topic of your presentation in a complete sentence that explains
the significance of this subject to the listeners.
- Specify
the kinds and amount of information that you must convey to the audience.
- Identify
many key points that you want the audience to understand.
- List
the important questions that you want to answer in your presentation.
All your
plans need to be developed with consideration of the time
and space constraints.
The next
step is to know your audience.
