When to Start

Start developing your portfolio immediately! Identify, locate, and save your work (in one location, if possible: a folder, a disc, a CD) or future review and presentation.

If you start your portfolio as a freshman or sophomore, you'll find that by graduation that you have compiled a significant amount of work to select from, which can then be used for an electronic portfolio or presentation folder.

Starting early also will give you direction in establishing learning goals and tracking your progress in meeting those goals.
