I'll be doing my final project for a non-profit environmentalist group out of Albany called the Environmental Advocates (previously the Environmental Planning Lobby). The purpose of the page will be to inform readers of environmental issues, to motivate them to act upon these issues, to encourage new members to join and to solicit donations for the organization.
The proposed design is a tree-like hierarchy with links connecting across any given level of the tree (where appropriate). The sight must be easy for readers to use so that they spend as much time as possible on the sight. It must be attractive to the eye and effective at getting and keeping the readers' interest. I hope to design it in such a way to evoke an emotional response and get the reader to want to respond to the issues.
