Greg Phoenix's Abstract

What attracts a person to view a website, and better yet, what keeps them there? Hunt described 3 methods of persuasion (ethos. logos, and pathos) to do so, and for the webclass's final project, Scott and I would like to use the rhetoric of ethos or logos (appeal to character and logic, respectively) to persuade people to view our website.

The website itself will be about the Society of Human Resource Management (a society for people interested in stuff like employee selection, training methods, and anything workplace related). We would be writing a node for RPI's SHRM Chapter, including info about the chapters members (resume's), the society itself, and what the society is all about (goals, history, etc.).

Our audience will be anyone who has access to the web, and the intent of our website will be to attract people to view our node (and stay there) by using the rhetoric of ethos and/or logos. Also, the site will be devised to expose RPI's shrm chapter to the world, and also our webclass.
