10.10.11
Second-year MBA students Nancy Bota and Kudzanayi Munetsi-Mugomba were awarded 5th place in this year’s NBMBAA Case Competition® competition, beating out business schools like Duke, MIT, USC, UC Berkeley from a pool of 25+ teams. Graduate business students from the nation’s leading business schools compete for top ranking, scholarship dollars and employment opportunities while participating in the NBMBAA Case Competition®. Students have the opportunity to analyze a real life complex business case and recommend solutions to a panel of senior level executives.
"The experience we gained by reaching the final is par to none," said Munetsi-Mugomba of the experience. He and Bota have decided to donate their finalist trophy to the Lally School as a way of motivating the next generation of MBA and MS students to participate in similar contests. Sonja Francis, Associate Director, MBA/MS Programs, offered her congratulations, "I’m thrilled to see how well our students scored in terms of adaptability and capability to perform under pressure. They dedicated many hours during the month preceding the competition while the normal busy start of the school year unfolded. I’m grateful that Professors Frank Wright and Tim Golden were instrumental in the preparation of these students for the competition."
