Join us then, for an informative seminar featuring a Rensselaer alumnus and former professor, Dr. Joseph Pimbley ’85, who will present a workshop based on his book, “Simple Money: Habits and Rules for Saving and Investing that Build Wealth for Everyone.”  This event is focused on helping you understand how to engage a personal financial plan for the rest of your life.

Simple Money (CreateSpace Press, 2012) gives clear and direct guidelines and best practices to empower people to gain financial freedom. Its foundation centers on the concept of spending less than your income and investing the remaining amount. This book serves as a resource for a variety of audiences with no prior financial knowledge other than familiarity with a checking account.

Dr. Joe Pimbley ’85 is the former executive vice president and head of institutional risk of ACA Capital Holdings (ACA), a firm holding $90 billion of financial investments, a Rensselaer alumnus of the School of Science, a financial consultant, and a former Rensselaer assistant professor.
