Entrepreneurs In Residence

Each year, SCTE hosts Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EIRs) — business executives with extensive experience in developing new businesses.

EIRs participate in Severino programs like Business Plan Competitions and Student Advising Sessions. They will also make themselves available to the Student E*ship Club. EIRs meet informally with students both individually and in their teams. They are available to any class across campus.

This year we are pleased to have one primary EIR and a host of affiliates.

Entrepreneur in Residence: Remy Arteaga'06

Remy will be joining the Severino Center as the newest Entrepreneur in Residence starting summer 2011.

Early on, Remy was involved with a number of IT projects, one of which became his first start-up, a digital imaging service business which was later acquired.

Over the years, his responsibilities have included developing and managing dozens of websites from B2C to E-commerce, social media marketing, search engine optimization, business development, fundraising and negotiating deals with multinational firms. DualAlign LLC is a software company that specializes in transforming proprietary technology into image registration and montage software which is then licensed to the medical and defense industries.

Remy holds a BS in Engineering and MBA from Rensselaer.

Students, staff and faculty members who wish to schedule an appointment with Remy to discuss a potential business idea can do so on http://tungle.me/remyarteaga.
