1930's Garden
Hi Garden Kids,
My name is Angie and I am Wendy's Aunt. When I was a little girl, in the 1930's,
I lived in a small row house in North Philadelphia. We had a tiny backyard with a little
patch of dirt along a wooden fence. There wasn't enough space to grow vegetables, but my
mother planted flowers: sunflowers, marigolds and morning glories. I thought the flowers
were so pretty, especially the morning glories. There was a string running from the fence
to the bedroom window on the second floor of our house. The morning glories traveled up the
string to the bedroom window and every morning when they opened up it was a very beautiful
sight. I hope these seeds give you a lot of pleasure.
Yours Truly,
Angie Goldsmith
