There are many ponds in Poestenkill. Our school has a pond in the back that is full of wild life . The pond is a home to about 10 to 25 frogs and 2 to 5 turtles . There is another pond at the Rensselaer County Airport, which is near the school. That pond is home to about 25 to 50 frogs and 10 to 20 turtle. But what makes that pond stand out is one turtle in partticular that looks like he's about 30 years old. He's about 2 feet across and 5 feet from head to tail.
