Poestenkill School is located at 1 School Street in the Town of Poestenkill, county of Rennselaer. Poestenkill got its name from the Dutch word for "foaming water." The Town of Poestenkill is a nice town because it is pretty, small and everyone is friendly. There is a small General Store and Gas Station at the center of Town. (It is called Bubies.) Part of our web page is about Barberville Falls. Barberville Falls is a location on the Poestenkill Creek. In our web page, Barberville Falls is the most beautiful scene in Town.Written by Erin Schoonmaker,Grade 4. To learn more about our school, click on #2 below.
