EHS Course Name: Welding and Cutting
- Approximate Length: 2 Hours
- Attendance Requirements: All employees that may be required to operate welding equipment as part of their job function. Additional training is required whenever new equipment, or procedures not previously covered are introduced to the workplace.
- Frequency: Prior to initiating tasks that may involve the use of welding equipment.
This session reviews aspects of welding and other “hot work” such as fire prevention, personal protective equipment, exposure control, compressed gas safety, electrical safety, and the maintenance and storage of equipment.
