| The Mission of the Department of Environmental Health & Safety is to work in a collaborative partnership with
the campus staff, faculty and students to ensure a healthy and safe workplace and a culture of environmental stewardship and sustainability.
The Vision of this Department is to create a university health and safety program where all elements of EH&S
are fully integrated into the programs and activities of the university with a minimal need for staff oversight. |

Environmental Health & Safety provides a multitude of services for the University ranging from life safety through hazardous
materials disposal. Our role is charisteristically a combination of consulting, compliance assessment and process re-engineering. Working within the Division of Human
Resources affords us the opportunity of strengthening the Division's mission of improving human capital of which safety and the environment are essential components.
Please take advantage of our support services and I welcome any suggestions for improving processes and procedures related to environmental health and safety activities
