| Salary Continuation (Sick leave for regular Exempt employees) Summary: When illness or injury causes Exempt employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week to be absent from work, they may be retained on the payroll (with appropriate medical documentation) at base salary for up to 90 calendar days in any 365-day period. Human Resources and/or Rensselaers Medical Contractor will request additional information from you and your attending physician as needed. |
Who is eligible? If you are a regular Exempt employee who is scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week, you are automatically eligible for salary continuation. (If you are a fixed-term Exempt employee, see Sick Leave/Disability) |
